Cranleigh is often called the largest village in England, and it sits just over the county line in Surrey, around a twenty minute drive northwest of Horsham along the A281. It is a regular part of my coverage area despite being outside West Sussex.
Being a big village rather than a small one, Cranleigh has options when it comes to tradespeople, so I try to earn the repeat call rather than assume it. I am Mike, a Gas Safe registered plumber and heating engineer based in Horsham, and I aim to get things right first time: a clear quote before any work starts, and a proper fix rather than a quick patch, on the High Street or out on the edges of the village.
Cranleigh has a real mix of housing, from older cottages near the High Street to larger, newer family homes on the edges of the village, and I install and repair kitchen sinks in both. Full details on how this works are on my kitchen sink installation page.
With the Surrey Hills right on the doorstep and plenty of larger gardens around Cranleigh, an outside tap is a common request. I fit new outside taps with a proper isolation valve for winter, and repair ones that have already failed. More on the process here: outside tap installation.
A leaking toilet rarely stays a small problem for long, whatever the age of the property. I will identify the actual cause, whether that is the cistern, the pan connector or a worn seal, and fix it properly. Read more on toilet repairs.
An annual service keeps your boiler safe, efficient and within warranty, and I cover routine servicing as well as diagnostics if something has already gone wrong. See what is included on the boiler servicing page.
Cranleigh sits on the edge of the Surrey Hills, technically over the border from West Sussex, but it is close enough to Horsham along the A281 that it has always made sense to cover it. The village has grown a lot over the years, so alongside the older housing near the High Street there is plenty of newer development further out, and I am familiar with both. Because of the distance from Horsham, I plan Cranleigh jobs into my day rather than treating them as a quick call in, but for a genuine emergency I still aim to be with you within the hour.
Do you cover Cranleigh even though it is in Surrey, not West Sussex?
Yes, Cranleigh is close enough to Horsham that it has always been part of my regular coverage area, the county line does not change that.
How quickly can you get to Cranleigh for an emergency?
Cranleigh is one of the further areas I cover from Horsham, but for a genuine emergency I still aim to be with you within the hour.
Do you cover the newer housing on the edges of Cranleigh as well as the village centre?
Yes, I cover the whole village, from the High Street through to the newer developments further out.
Can I book a boiler service if I am in Cranleigh?
Yes, alongside general plumbing work I also offer boiler servicing in Cranleigh for both routine maintenance and repairs.
